Hey there, it’s coach Colin! Thanks for visiting BPM Fitness. I’d love for you to introduce yourself and join us for a FREE class.
In the meantime, since we’re all about growing community, let’s not be total strangers and get to know one another:
My journey toward better health over the past 14 years has been threefold: I am passionate about wellness and well-being, I believe that the expression of human movement is a powerful tool for healing, and I acknowledge how fitness is a means of moving oneself to challenge the body, mind, soul, and emotions.
You might be able to relate to the start of my journey if you’ve ever viewed exercise as a way to cope with life’s stresses and pressures.
I started my own journey into health and fitness in my adolescent years to help cope with the stresses of bullies, low self-esteem, and negative body image. I’ve been fascinated with human movement ever since.
Throughout my journey of healing and self-discovery, I’ve played with several modalities of movement: CrossFit, Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Yoga, and Martial Arts. I have found that building an authentic, loving relationship with myself and my body—detached from outcomes or goals—has been the single most effective way to find healing.
Now, instead of using fitness as a means to an end, I use fitness as the end. I engage and encourage others to engage in movement that’s not attached to any outcome. I believe we should move our bodies for the sake of moving your bodies, regardless of the end result.
At BPM Fitness, I’ve combined the best of what I know with my passion for mindfulness, exercise and self-love to build a community. I encourage you to come and try one of our classes so you can learn how to heal and grow, too. We are in this together. Together, we are better and stronger.
I’d love to know more about you, your fitness journey and what brought you to BPM Fitness. Click here to connect with me.

The story of my health transformation begins in my mid twenties. I was a young entrepreneur dealing with the stress and excitement of two thriving businesses, a restaurant, and a nightclub. The restaurant and club industry led me to a lifestyle that involved late nights, poor food choices, and frequent alcohol consumption. In the beginning, I had no trouble keeping up with this lifestyle because I was young and had a great amount of resiliency. As the years passed, I began to see the effects of my late nights, and my food and activity choices. I lost control over my cravings, and I began to see a shift in my energy levels. I had low energy, low libido, and a low immunity to illness. I had acne, allergies, and frequent sinus and respiratory health issues. I had chronic piriformis syndrome for 2 years. I was taking various strong medications for these ailments including Accutane, Advil, and antibiotics.
These medications combined with chronically high cortisol levels caused leaky gut syndrome, which led to food sensitivities, allergies, and a low immune system. These ailments, along with a significant weight gain over time, motivated me to make some changes.
I made critical changes to my diet, and after some months of experimenting with different dietary plans, I found the key to my success.
Using fitness and nutrition, I am able to control my acne, allergies, and respiratory issues, and I find it easy to maintain a healthy weight and muscle mass. After experiencing these incredible results I wanted to share my findings with my friends, family, and others. I realized that the key to my success was the combination of understanding the proper diet for my body, a positive mindset, and consistent exercise.
This is when I started learning from the best teachers at the best institutes and decided to open my own training facility in order to offer London just that—a place where the complete picture of your health is analyzed and both dietary and exercise needs are met by professionals in the field.
As the founder of BPM Fitness, I represent you, the average person wanting to make a positive change in your lifestyle. I have gone through the trials, setbacks, and more recently, the successes. Now it’s your turn! Our team of health and fitness professionals will passionately work with you to help you achieve your goals. Together, we will gain control over your health and work to get you in the best shape of your life.
My passion to support others in feeling good about themselves has always been a driving factor in my life. My background supporting women as a certified Birth Doula and BPM Fitness trained Group Fitness instructor has lead me to combine my two passions and become a trained Prenatal and Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Being a wife and mother of four, running a small Spanish school with my husband, and coaching group fitness, I know firsthand how busy life can get. But, I also know that if you are not taking care of yourself, it’s challenging to fully care for anyone else. I encourage others, and especially other mothers, to make their health and happiness a priority.
When working with clients, I always motivate them to try new things and get out of their comfort zones. We often times underestimate what we are capable of, which is why I strive to motivate and empower my clients and help them achieve their goals, gain confidence, and find joy in what their own bodies are capable of.
I have a passion for group-style classes, as I believe they encourage you to push the people around you to work as hard as they can. They also help in building lasting relationships with likeminded people. We’re all working toward the same goal, to be the healthiest version of ourselves that we can, and I am so excited to be member of the team at BPM who works toward achieving this goal on a daily basis!
Hey there, I’m Katie Van Den Berg, owner of Peaceful Pine Wellness. I’m on my own journey to find peace in my life and I’m grateful that your compass lead you here. I’m so excited to be a part of the BPM Fitness team!
Peaceful Pine Wellness is a culmination of my life’s journey through healing, nurturing my body, creating self-love and positive body image, rediscovering my inner strength, and finding peace in a busy world.
I started this journey, like I’m sure you did, because I was in pain emotionally, and physically burnt out. I was craving more out of life; I was craving healing, peace, happiness and strength, and a deeper connection between the natural world and myself. As a teenager, my journey led me to yoga, hiking, singing, and expressive arts, all of which influenced my path to wellness.
Katie offers wellbeing services through healing paths with yoga, mindfulness, meditation, hiking, and nature connections, so you can rediscover wellness, find your footing and breathe again. Because we could all use a compass to journey through life’s uneven terrain.
Katie is Registered Yoga Teacher RYT-500, who specializes in restorative yoga, hatha yoga, grief yoga and meditation. With Katie’s calm and grounding presence, it isn’t a surprise that she has strong connection to nature and the outdoors, where she finds peace and balance.
Katie shares her passion for healthy living, trees, and forest bathing (mindful forest walks) as a Certified Hike Leader, as well as volunteers with the Thames Valley Trail Association, ReForest London, and Growing Chef’s Ontario.
I first began my journey of mind-body connection through the practice of yoga. From this practice, I came to understand that we all crave movement and expression of the body, no matter our physical state. This, I believe, you can accomplish by surrendering to the unknown—all while still having fun.
I completed my first yoga teacher training in Costa Rica (200 RYT) in 2011. Wanting to marry my love of travel and passion for teaching, I took my practice to Europe and the United Kingdom, where I taught for 3 years before returning back to Canada. In Croatia, I began studying for my second yoga Teacher Training (500 RYT).
It was through my private yoga clients that I began to see the value in nourishing the body not only through movement, but also through proper nutrition. I was inspired by the changes I saw in my clients who had began a healthy relationship with their bodies and the food they put into them. Not only were the physical transformations inspiring, but the mental evolution and balance I saw was truly something else. It was then that I gained the inspiration to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.
